New Jersey’s Screaming Females & Cleveland’s Forager Play Rock Hall’s Summer in the City

Forager

Wed 8/8 @ 7-9PM

The Rock Hall’s Summer in the City concert series moves into its third week with a double of women-led bands, the theme for this season’s outdoor shows on the plaza.

The headliners are Screaming Females, a trio out of New Jersey led by vocalist/guitarist Marissa Paternoster. They’re veterans on the scene, with 13 years and seven albums under their belts including their new All at Once, released earlier this year. Their harsh but compellingly catchy sound, driven by Paternoster’s relentless howl has a subtly threatening vibe that sets up a tension with her baby-faced appearance.

The Cleveland openers for this week are another trio, Forager, a poppy trio spawned by the 2016 Lottery League.

The concert is free, and food and drink are available for purchase on the plaza. In addition, you can meet photographer/CoolCleveland editor Anastasia Pantsios who will be selling and signing her book Girls to the Front: 40 Years of Women in Rock, based on her Rock Hall photo show last year.
