All summer and into the fall, Cleveland’s calendar is brimming with ethnic and church festivals, celebrating cultures around the globe. The 16th annual European Festival at St. Mary Magdalene Byzantine Catholic Church in Fairview Park is more ambitious, honoring a host of different cultures which offers the opportunity to have an even wider range of foods available. And we all know food is the main attraction at these events. So there’ll be stuffed cabbage, chicken paprikash, cabbage & noodles, nut rolls and much much more. “Bring your family, bring your friends, and most importantly, come hungry!” they advise.
The event will also feature music and dance ensembles in traditional costumes, culminating with a set by the Tom Katrenich Orchestra polka band with the dance floor wide open to show off your footwork.
The festival is free and open to all.
