Piano Cleveland and CMNH Join to Present Up-and-Coming Classical Pianists

 Piano Cleveland and the Cleveland Museum of Natural History have hooked up to present a series of nine free lunchtime concerts, taking place from July 21 through August 1 at the museum’s Visitor Hall. They will feature musicians from the Cleveland International Piano Competition and its Institute for Young Artists, including 13 Semi-Finalists and about 20 Institute students who will be coming to Cleveland during the last two weeks of July.  During that time, the semi-finalists will play in four competition events while institute students will receive instruction from the musicians and industry professionals on the competition jury.

The Cleveland International Piano Competition for Young Artists Semi-Finalists will perform on Tuesday July 21, Wednesday July 22 and Thursday July 23. The Institute students will perform on Friday July 24 and Tuesday July 28-Friday July 31.

The competition’s last round — its final concerto round — will be performed with the Canton Symphony Orchestra on Friday evening. He new winners will then do one final free concert at the Museum of Natural History’s Visitor Hall on Saturday August 1 @ noon.
