Spice Spring

Emperor’s Palace held court in an ornate space on the block of Rockwell Avenue between East 21st and East 24th streets that used to comprise the entirety of Cleveland’s “Chinatown,” now renamed AsiaTown for its explosive diversity. It closed back in 2020, but in early 2026, Spice Spring filled the spot.

Calling itself “Asian fusion,” Spice Spring offers a typically expansive menu featuring many of the Szechuan-flavored foods locals have come to know and love, as well as nearly three dozen Cantonese dim sum choices. Soups, noodles, appetizers, stir-fry dishes and some Thai entrees round out the large menu. It’s open for both dine-in and takeout every day but Tuesday.
