The Allen Memorial Art Museum in Oberlin is hosting an end-of-semester party — but you don’t have to be a student to take part.
The whole community is invited to come hear live music from Oberlin Conservatory’s Sonny Rollins Jazz Ensemble, a student ensemble founded with the support of the legendary sax player that performs arrangements of his music along with ensemble members’ compositions; watch a performance by student circus and aerial performs OCircus; compete in a “circus chic” costume contest and enjoy free appetizers and wine. The event will also feature lawn games, a photo booth and a special showing of the work of Cleveland painter Michelangelo Lovelace who passed away in 2021 just as he was starting to get national recognition.
Registration is encouraged but not required.
