New Yorker staff writer Patrick Radden Keefe is known for his skill at telling gripping nonfiction stories about real people tangled in complicated situations. That certainly describes his new book London Falling: A Mysterious Death in a Gilded City and a Family’s Search for Truth, a stranger he first wrote about in The New Yorker. In it, a teenager’s death in a fall from the window of a luxury apartment overlooking the Thames reveals a whole secret life he’d been living that his normal middle-class family knew nothing about that entangled him with an underworld of money and crime.
Keefe is the next author to be featured in the Cuyahoga County Public Library’s William N. Skirball Writers Center Stage series at the Maltz Performing Arts Center. There will be a book signing after the author talk. Get tickets here.
