Sat 11/1 @ 10AM-12:30PM
This Saturday is Fall Visit Day at Cleveland State University, giving potential students the chance to learn about the school’s academic programs, potential scholarships and internships, and its student organizations. They may learn a little more about the latter than the school would prefer.
Staff members from the school’s former radio station WCSB-FM 89.3 which was unceremoniously yanked off the air without warning on October 3 to turn its frequency over to Ideastream Public Media for a 24/7 mainstream jazz station will be rallying on campus in quad between Rhodes Tower and the Student Center from 10 am to 12:30pm to share information with potential incoming students how CSU stripped students and the community of a valuable piece of the local music ecosystem and their chance to be part of it.
“We strongly encourage students and student orgs to join us and make your voices heard” say the leaders of the protest movement now calling themselves XCBS.
