Cleveland band Radderall is built around core members Zachary Taneyhill and Jonny McAllister who are active in what they describe as “Cleveland’s ever-weird DIY scene.” That’s where they met Muzzy Fossa, with whom they collaborated on their new album The Club is Open.
They described it as “a concept album following two characters searching for The Club—a mythical venue embodying indulgence, escape, and ego. Thematically, the album explores what it means to lose yourself in the pursuit of identity, desire, or connection—and what remains when the mask comes off. It’s funny and existential, lush and handmade. With its surrealist arc and analog charm, The Club Is Open is as much a psychedelic head trip as it is a reflection on self-image, friendship, and the fantasies we chase to avoid our own stillness.”
They say the album’s been three years in the making, and now they’re ready to share it publicly with a release concert at the Five O’Clock Lounge in Lakewood where they will perform the songs. In addition, they’re bringing in a couple of vendors: Husky Gene’s Sandwiches, and Cleveland’s Wax Mage Records, which specializes in colored and intricately designed records — and created the vinyl for The Club is Open, which will be available for purchase at the show.
The Slugg Band and Disintegration are also on the bill. The show is free.
