It’s an all-ages event for both experienced dancers and novices, where you can learn some new steps, meet new people, socialize and hear some of the most infectious live music around played by some of the region’s best bands.

The evenings start at 7pm with a dance lesson. If you’ve never stepped in a dance floor before, they’ll have you stepping out in an hour. Experienced dancers are always on hand, eager to help the novices.

At 9pm, Pittsburgh’s seven-piece, horn-heavy Dr. Zoot will hit the stage. Their music, which mixes jazz, pop, R&B, swing, jump blues, funk, Latin and early rock in a high-energy danceable blend that’s both retro and contemporary, has become a favorite at these dances they’re back for the second time this year. reputation.

They’ll play from 8-10, giving dancers two hours to try out and polish up the steps they’ve just learned.
