Cleveland Burlesque founder/producer Bella Sin was in Las Vegas, spreading the world about this area’s fertile burlesque scene, leaving April’s Burlesque After Dark show in the capable hands of her main lieutenant and one of her star performers, Heather and Lace. It was, as usual, an evening of top-flight performances by familiar area performers such as Lakota Shekar, live vocalist Monica Mod, Holly Grail and Lady Slay, a return engagement by glamorous drag artist Valerie Valentina, and star turns by belly dancer Athena sporting a candelabra headgear, LaKat Rose shimmying to “Big Spender” and Ray Majestic offering a vibrant, colorful number. Heather and Lace closed the show with one of her typically creative pieces, impersonating a spectacularly garbed Marie Antoinette, complete with cake.
