Canine Cookout Benefits Nonprofit That Rehabs and Rehouse Aggressive Dogs

Sat 5/24 @ 12:30-5PM

Axel’s K9 Rescue is a Cleveland-based nonprofit organization that rehabilitates and retrains dogs considered aggressive and finds homes for them — “giving them an education and guiding them beyond their instabilities,” according to founder/CEO Natalie Okal.

This weekend, the group is holding a Canine Cookout fundraiser, taking place at the Beachland Tavern, patio and parking lot. It’s a family- and dog-friendly event, with music by DJ & MC AKA, Uncle Gnarly, and Sara Smiles & the Mars Express. One dog is allowed per attendee and they must be on a corrective collar and under control at all times; dogs need a ticket as well although kids under 2 are free. (Dog tickets are just $10, kidsare$15; adults are $35, and it all goes to help other dogs have a good life.) Go here for more information and tickets.
