Printmaking studio Future Ink Graphics, located at the Pivot Center for Art, Dance and Expression on Cleveland’s near west side, is opening a new show in its community gallery called Women Who Print.
Finally women printmakers isn’t difficult: the area is exploding with talent. This show will feature artists working in various printmaking techniques, with an emphasis on silkscreen. It includes both local and national artists at different points in their careers intended “to show the unique talent and dedication involved in creating print-based artworks.” Artists include Patricia Brett, Adria Chavers, Xani Dean, J. Leigh Garcia, Layla Harris, Tatiana Hornung, Yuko Kimura, Allie Morris, Anna Tararova, Alexa Wehrman and Jan Zorman.
The show opens with a free public reception on Friday March 8 @ 5-7pm, an opportunity to learn about the full range of what FIG does. It will be on with through Sunday May 5.
