Piano Cleveland Brings Keyboards to Brewery

Wed 2/1 @ 6:30PM

Since the Cleveland International Piano competition rebranded itself as Piano Cleveland, which continues to run the competition, it’s created lots of new programs to engage the community with piano music and make it more accessible.

One of those is Cleveland Piano Live, bringing the music to casual settings such as Platform Beer’s Phunkenship brewery. This week it will present three viry different artists. They include young Argentinian pianist Gastón Frydman, who just gradated from the Cleeland Institute of Music and is now studying for his masters degree there; Piano Cleveland’s president Yaron Kohlberg, also an accomplished and celebrated Israeli pianist; and Lorain county music teacher/singer/ songwriter/keyboard player Rachel Brown, well known around for the Americana/alt country music she creates with her band, the Beatnik Playboys.

The event is free, and yes, there will be beer available for purchase.
