Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra Performs Its Winter Concert

Sun 2/20 @ 3PM

The Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra gives talented teen musicians from across northern Ohio to have a pre-professional musical experience, to meet and be coached by world-class musicians including Cleveland Orchestra members.

They also have the opportunity to do three performances each year on the Severance Hall stage. For their winter concert, coming up this weekend, they’ll perform Jennifer Higdon’s 1999 Blue Cathedral, Arthur Aruturian’s Trumpet Concerto in A flat major, featuring Dasara Beta on trumpet, and Manuel de Falla’s Suite No. 1 and Suite No. 2 from El Sombrero de Tres Picos (The Three Cornered Hat).

The concert is conducted by Vinay Parameswaran who is COYO’s music director. Go here for tickets.
