Registration Is Open for Lakewood’s Spooky Pooch Parade in October

Sat 10/16 @ 12:30-3:30PM

This will be the 14th year Lakewood hosts its annual Spooky Pooch Parade, a fun time for dogs and the people who love them. Taking place in Birdtown’s Madison Park on Saturday October 16, the event starts in the park with kids’ games, entertainment and dog-related vendors. The parade starts at 2pm and wends through neighboring streets. Judges will inspect the dogs’ (and owners’!) costumes and award prizes for Best Pooch & Child, Best Pooch & Adult, Best Pooch & Group, Spookiest Pooch and Best in Show. The grand prizewinner snags a year’s supply of dog food from Pet’s General Store.

The event is free to attend but if you want to enter your dog to participate in the parade and be eligible for a prize, you must register. And registration is open now. Pre-registration is $10 compared to day-of-event registration at $15 so do it now! Proceeds benefit the nonprofit community group Lakewood Alive.
