The Singing Angels Do Their Annual Cain Park Performance

Sun 8/1 @ 4PM

Child/youth chorus The Singing Angels has been a Cleveland institution for nearly 60 years — it was founded in 1964. It aims to teach children to perform music together at a high level, while presenting engaging, audience-friendly performances of jazz, pop and folk music.

The group has expanded its reach since its founding, performing in 34 countries, singing with symphonies (including the Cleveland Orchestra) and providing choral support for performers such as Celine Dion, Kenny Rogers, Eartha Kitt, Bob Hope, Jim Brickman, Wayne Newton, Roberta Flack and Fran Sinatra.

One of its longstanding traditions is its annual free concert at Cain Park in Cleveland Heights, where local audiences can enjoy the skills the kids have developed and proud families can bring all their friends and relatives. That takes place this Sunday August 1 at Cain Park’s Evans Amphitheatre.
