Food Strong is a relatively new local organization dedicated to the idea that access to healthy, fresh, local foods is key to strengthening communities. It sponsors youth gardening programs an entrepreneurship, We offer youth gardening programs, youth entrepreneurship, the Care-A-Van outreach program, taking wellness and arts opportunities to underserved communities, and the Care Strong Project, offering health screenings and education at Salvation Army centers.
Its annual benefit, like most annual benefits this year, is virtual. Cornucpia of Hope will include live music, a raffle and silent auction, a program and a dinner delivered to your home, catered by Lago East Bank. A four-course dinner for one with four wine flights is $150; dinner for two is $250, and dinner for groups of five or more is $105 each. In addition, a donation of at least $10 will get you access to the virtual event and raffle.
