Come spend a Saturday afternoon playing Scrabble with players of all levels of ability for a good cause. The 10th annual Kinnect Scrabble Tournament takes place at Goldhorn Brewery. And while the kids can’t partake of the brew, they can certainly come and play Scrabble!
Serious players can try to make it to the finals (warning: players come from out of state to compete!) with the 16 highest scorers after four round competing in the finals; others can play just for fun, while those without any competitive spirit can watch, or play cornhole and other games.
Registration begins at 12:30pm with play starting at 1:30. The $50 ticket includes two drinks, heavy appetizers, two or four 20-minute rounds of Scrabble, and the chance to win prizes. Kids 10 and over are welcome to compete for just $10 — obviously, no drinks are included, other than maybe soda pop.
All money raised benefits Kinnect’s programs, which support kids in foster care to help them thrive.
