Brahms, Liszt & Barber Are on Cleveland Orchestra’s Blossom Program This Weekend

Sat 8/10 @ 8PM

Johannes Brahms’ Symphony No. 1 in C minor was written over a period of 14 years, eventually having its concert debut in 1876. Its engaging alphorn motif and its echoes of Beethoven’s work have made it a continually popular concert piece.

It will conclude the Cleveland Orchestra’s concert program at Blossom Music Center on Sat 8/10. The program opens with Franz Liszt’s Mazeppa, Symphonic Poem No. 6, and Samuel Barber’s Violin Concerto. The latter with feature the orchestra’s associate concertmaster Jung-Min Amy Lee. Asher Fsch conducts.

Tickets range from $25-$89.
