In the fall (September 11 & 12), Micro Theater CLE will be coming back to Tremont where it will present 25 short (10-15 minute) pieces, each performed 3-5 times each evening in a variety of spaces living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms, bars and outdoor spaces. The scripts and directors are set but now they’re looking for more performers, and it’s holding auditions this Sunday July 29 from 5-7pm at the Brownhoist.
They’re looking for performers of all ages and any race of gender, in one case perhaps asking them to play dogs. They’re also looking for what they call “audience accompaniment performers.” They explain, “Since our audiences will be moving between spaces, we are looking fortraveling guides to entertain them in some way along the way. We are looking for dancers, magicians, jugglers, monologue-rs (we can write a monologue for you if you’re not a writer!), dialogue-rs. Whatever you want to do, we’d probably love to have you.”
No appointment is needed, although if you’d like to come at a particular time or read audition sides in advance, email info@microtheatercle.com with your name, contact information, photo of yourself, and a resume or brief description of your acting experience. Also contact them if the date isn’t good for you but you’re still interested in participating.
