Painesville Party in the Park Features Three Days of Free Music

Fri 7/19-Sun 7/21

The Painesville Party in the Park bills itself as Ohio’s largest free music festival, which may or may not be true. But regardless, the three-day event in downtown Painesville offers an appealing mix of local and touring bands encompassing rock, pop, blues, soul, folk, reggae, hip hop jazz, Latin, country, jam and more, with 30 acts on two stages.

But it’s more than just a music festival. There’s a scavenger hunt, face painting and glitter tattoos, crafts, games, inflatables and Jungle Terry to keep the kids entertained. There are vendors, local artists and craftspeople, food and beer. And this year’s festival will honor a distinguished Painesville native, Roger Abramson, now a Florida resident who was a Cleveland concert promoter in the late 60s and early 70s, first for Belkin Brothers and then with his own A Friend promotions.

And while the festival is free, you can upgrade to a VIP experience for $45 a day or $110 for the whole weekend.
