One of the more off-the-wall events celebrating the 50th anniversary of the last Cuyahoga River fire is “Rolling for the River,” taking place at moCa Cleveland in University Circle and on Toby’s Plaza outside moCa.
There you can join Cleveland’s roller derby team, the Burning River Roller Girls, for free roller skating inside moCa (watch out for the elbows!) The $5 skate rental fee benefits the Burning River Foundation. There’ll be a race course outside on the plaza, and lots of information about clean water initiatives and projects in northeast Ohio.
