Cleveland’s oldest burlesque troupe Le Femme Mystique is celebrating its 15h anniversary — by ceasing to exist.

Don’t panic! The group, which hosts the popular revues at the Beachland as well as the three-day Ohio Burlesque Fest there, brings in stars from all over the world and trains up-and-coming Cleveland burlesque performers, is just changing its name to the more descriptive “Cleveland Burlesque.”

Nothing else will change though. The group will continue its focus on diversity in race, ethnicity, gender and size. It will continue to showcase popular performers and new ones. It will continue to offer a range of performance styles, from glamorous to humorous, shows with special themes including its popular “nerd culture” shows, and a variety of acts including dancers, acrobats, comedians, singers, drag queens and classic burlesque performers, even an occasional magician!

Starring acts for this anniversary show, dubbed “The Tease,” are the King of Boylesque, Austin’s Ickymuffin and Seattle’s reigning queen of burlesque Inga, both making their Cleveland debuts. Cleveland Burlesque’s founder Bella Sin will perform, of course, along with special guests Constantinople Darling and Rubi-Nesque, and “local starlets” Cece Noir, Deva Diamond, Poppy Poison, Kimmy Katarja, Scarlett Chaton, Bee Awkward, Bon Bon Voyage, Noella Deville, Trick Dicktion and Lady Slay.

Hosting the evening at the Beachland Ballroom will be the incomparable author/comedian/professor Ken Schneck. Tickets are $45.00 for VIP, $35 for reserved seats and $20 general admission in advance, $25 at the door. There’s a VIP cocktail reception from 7-7:30; doors open for the show at 8.
