Lake Erie Nature & Science Center Hosts Evening of Music and Stories Focused on New Age Spirituality

Fri 1/5 @ 7-10PM

A program titled “The New Heavens and the New Earth: Songs, Stories and Prophecies” sounds very new age-y. And in fact, both musician Christopher Reynolds and James B. Beard aka Noodin are focused on alternative spiritualities.

The program they’ll be hosting Lake Erie Nature and Science Center in Bay Village is promoted as “an evening of songs, stories, and prophecies dedicated to fully awakening and participating together in our important historical moment … what Eco-Buddhist Joanna Macy calls the Great Turning and Catholic Fr. Thomas Berry called the opening to the environmental age,  [and] is called Preparation for the time of the 8th Fire in the Ojibwa/Chippewa prophesies.”

“You are invited to move more deeply into what Thomas Berry described as, ‘the psychic support that we need in our participation in the cosmic liturgy, in the exhilaration of dawn, the healing quiet of evening, in the springtime singing of the birds, the summertime showers, the autumn ripening, and the winter quiescence’,” they say.

Suggested donation is $10.
