Sirna’s Farm in Auburn Township is a great place to go anytime you want to get out into the countryside and shop for fresh produce, herbs and local food products. They’re open from June through October.

But they’re offering a special incentive to stop in now as the peak harvest winds down: its annual Fall Harvest Celebration. The two-day weekend event is packed with things to see and do including games and contests, hay rides, a scavenger hunt, an obstacle course, face painting and something a lot of the local fall fests don’t have but kids love: real live animals!

Of course you can shop for seasonal products such as pumpkins, apples, squash, cider, decorative gourds and corn stalks, and items such as local cheeses, teas and coffees, fresh milk, all-natural meats and more. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for kids.
