Fri 11/4 @ 6-10pm

The lovable curmudgeon of the Waterloo Arts District, metal sculptor Jerry Schmidt, was in fact one of the first artists to lay down roots there. If you’re up on Waterloo for Walk All Over Waterloo this month, be sure to stop by his studio — you’ll recognize it as the garage-like building set back from the street with a front courtyard packed with his intriguing metal pieces.

Go inside to see a display of works that started out as metal sculptures by Schmidt, which were passed on to other Cleveland artists who embellished them with their own personal additions, ranging from painting to stained glass to steampunk-inspired objects.

Artists include Lauren Voiers, Evie Zimmer, James March, Jenna Fournier, Matt Merchant, Patty McPhillips, Kristen Kantounatakis, Michelle Biondo and Bob McNulty. After this event, the pieces will be on display at the Fabulous Food Show at the IX Center 11/11-13.
