Lake Metroparks is tasked with protecting the natural beauty of Lake County, as well as offering visitors educational and recreational activities at its numerous locations its agriculturally themed Farmpark with live farm animals, a nature center, an education and wildlife rehabilitation center, two golf courses, a dog park, beaches and lakefront access, a cross-country ski center, and more than 60 miles of trails that cross meadows, forests, lakes and rivers. You can kayak, bicycle, fish, camp, and even shoot targets with bow and arrow.
