Grandfather Cosmo’s forays to the vineyards inspired Larry Jr. to jump a fence surrounding Burkholder farm to pick grapes, and ever after, Larry wanted to start his own winery.
In 1991, he purchased the grape farm where the current winery is located, and he and his wife Kim continue to host the cozy tasting room and make sure everything is going well at their Italian-style Laurello Vineyards. The tasting room’s walls are filled with family photos of Italy and leather club chairs surround the hearth.
Wines include wonderful blends and wines that bring out the best in the vinifera and hybrid grapes grown on the estate.
