Movement and music are natural partners. And the two will link up for the Cleveland Orchestra’s second family concert of the year, Gotta Dance.
The orchestra and conductor Brett Mitchell will be joined by two ensembles that will show kids ages 7-12 two very different approaches to dance: the new Cleveland Ballet and Csárdas Dance Company. The orchestra will play dance selections by composers such as Tchaikovsky, Bizet, Copland and Dvořák, while the ballet dancers display their fluid classical moves and the Hungarian dancers show off their fancy folk footwork. Tickets are $15-$30.
