Cleveland Indie Rocker Alan Madej Debuts His New CD at Euclid Tavern Concert

Sat 4/11 @ 9PM

Indie rocker Alan Madej has been a low-key presence in the local music scene since the turn of the millennium. His music is equally low key. He’s got a bunch of releases not that many people are aware of, with a new one about to drop when he plays the Happy Dog at the Euclid Tavern this weekend. Madej makes music with a lot of propulsive energy that draws on both classic and contemporary rock traditions and gleefully mashes them up in one big, noisy sound. “Sing Love,” the single from the new album Call Me Home, starts in an offhand manner that erupts into a billowing cloud of layered vocals. He’ll be performing with two other local indie bands, Kid Tested and the Pistolettes. Admission is $5. alanmadej.bandcamp.com/ AlanMadejPoster
