There’s no music more summery than reggae. Sadly, summer is winding down and so are the Music Box Supper Club’s Sunday reggae matinees.

They’ve had months of top performers in the genre and they’re closing with a flourish with Cleveland’s number one reggae act, Carlos Jones and the P.L.U.S. Band.

Jones himself has been a major part of the area reggae scene since the late 70s, when he played with I-Tal and later with First Light, who from the mid ’80s through the late ’90s, were Cleveland’s top-drawing band in any genre.

Jones formed his own P.L.U.S. Band shortly before First Light broke up in 1998 and since then, they’ve been a staple at every outdoor summer concert series and festival. Don’t worry — they play in the winter too (COVID will decide whether that includes THIS winter).

Reggae Sundays are free so enjoy one of the last final outdoor afternoons of the season, down by the river. You will be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative PCR test (time stamped, and no older than 72 hours).

The beautiful Reggae Ohio family that I am so proud to be a member of must flock together for this wonderful event. How we miss our Hessler Street Fair, and so it’s vital that we attend this last summer bash. Thank you 🙏🏽 Carlos and the P.L.U.S. Band for giving us this day of cherished music 🎶 and positive vibrations. You have earned the loving hearts of all of us! 💕💝💘
