Most of the area’s beloved independent bookstores — Mac’s Backs, Loganberry Books, Learned Owl Book Shop, Appletree Books — have been back open for a while now. But we’ve been waiting on Tremont’s Visible Voice Books. It’s been closed for 15 months other than being available for booking for “Create Your Own Night at the Bookstore” parties, which will continue: people will still be able to book evening time slots, as well as morning brunch-and browse events, for their private groups.
But as of Tuesday June 1, the store will also resume public hours, open Tuesday-Friday @ 4-8pm, Saturday @ noon-8pm and Sunday @ 12-5pm. The store, which also has a wine bar featuring a selection of wines and beers as well as non-alcoholic drinks, is also resuming author events in June. Go here for more information.
