Once again, the pups will be strutting in Lakewood’s Madison Park when the annual Spooky Pooch Parade returns.
It kicks off with activities in the park, starting at 12:30, including dog-related vendors and other local businesses, pumpkin painting for kids, and live entertainment. The parade steps off at 2pm, with costumed canines marching and making a loop around the park, hoping to win one of the prizes: Best Pooch & Child, Best Pooch & Adult, Best Pooch & Group, Spookiest Pooch, and Best in Show.
The festival is free to attend. People can register their dogs to enter the parade and contest online for $15 per dog, or onsite day-of-event for $20. Have more than one dog? Discounts are available online only. Find out the requirements for marching dogs and register here.
