When it comes to improving the lives of cats and dogs, the Euclid-based nonprofit PetFix has done more than its share. Since its founding in 2026, it has spayed and neutered more than 100,000 animals, potentially prevents the births of more than a million kittens and puppies. They provide lo-cost spaying and neutering for rescues, feral cat caretakers and individual cat and dog owners, cutting down pet overpopulation and needless euthanasia. And they have plans in the works to open a second clinic in Garfield Heights.
One way to help out is to attend their benefits, where you can donate while also socializing with other animal lovers. They’re having one this weekend at Collision Bend Brewery’s Euclid Location (1261 Babbitt Road) called “Feline Groovy: It’s Hip to Be Tipped,” referring to the ear-tipping of spayed/neutered feral cats to let others know they’ve already had the surgery. This one focuses on those ferals, letting people know about trap/neuter/return efforts by local rescue/feral colony caretaker groups that care for these outdoor cats. The event will include raffles baskets and a 50/50 raffle. Tickets include a drink ticket and appetizers. Get them here.
