No Exit No Music’s final program of its 2024-25 season (its 16th) is called “The International Sounds of the Collective.” It comprises works by an international consortium of composers called The Collective, one of whom is No Exit artistic director Timothy Beyer.
The concerts will offer works by Collective founder Douglas Knehans, Agata Zubel, Mathew Rosenblum, Spiros Mazis, Amy Kaplan, Constantine Koukias, Edward Smalldone and Beyer composed from 2009-2025, and including world premiere pieces by Beyer and Smalldone.
“We’re very excited about these concerts, presenting these works to our Cleveland audiences and then taking
them on the road to perform for European listeners,” says Beyer. “These are all really great composers who are coming from different backgrounds, and in some cases, different countries. The program is very diverse, there are a lot of unique voices represented.”
The ensemble will perform at the Cleveland Museum of Art’s Gartner Auditorium Wednesday May 28; at the BOP STOP Friday May 30; and at Heights Arts Saturday May 31. No Exit New Music concerts are always free and open to all.
