Wed 4/22 @ 7PM
The next event in the Music Box Supper Club’s long-running Cleveland Stories series features one of the founders of the series, noted Cleveland historian John Grabowski. Although he’s now retired from his jobs teaching history at Case Western Reserve University and senior vice president for research at the Western Reserve Historical Society, his enthusiasm for Cleveland history hasn’t disappeared.
In this program, he’ll talk about the genesis of Cleveland neighborhood names: why is Hough “Hough,” what was “Duck Island,” who was the “Kamm” in Kamm’s Corners, etc. In the process, he’ll shed light on how Cleveland’s various neighborhoods evolved.
The programs are free, but you should make a table reservation. Doors open at 5pm for dinner; program begins at 7pm, and there’s an opportunity to ask questions afterward.
