Join the City Nature Challenge on Your Own or With a Group

Fri 4/25-Mon 4/28

The City Nature Challenge, now in its 10th year, was created by staff members of science museums in Los Angeles and San Francisco, but it now takes place in cities all over the world, inviting people to document plants and wildlife in their own urban outdoor spaces. You don’t need a science background, and you can do it anywhere nearby — your backyard, the local park, a vacant lot on your block — on your own or with friends, using the iNaturalist app.

If you’d like to join others in this challenge, come to the Nature Center at Shaker Lakes Saturday April 26 from 11:30am-2pm and explore their network of trails. They’ll have an information table set up to help you.
