Take time out from your holiday shopping for a little dancing — it’s a good way to work off in advance all those holiday sweets you’ll be eating.
Each month in Chagrin Falls, the Bainbridge Swing Dance gives people of all ages and dance experience the chance to get out on the floor and shake it like a pro. How? Well, from 7-8pm, there’s a class so you can learn the moves and build you confidence before you step out on the floor to show off the moves to the music of a live band. This month it’s one of Northeast Ohio’s finest: the horn-driven swing/jazz/blues/R&B/rock ensemble Blue Lunch, who’ve been making dance floors jump ‘n’ jive for decades. And once they pack up, there’s a bonus hour of “Electrodisco,” dancing to recorded electronic music accompanied by black lights, strobes and lasers.
These dances welcome all ages and skills—partners, couples, singles, it doesn’t matter because you’ll be swapping partners all night long. They take place at the Family Life Center in Chagrin Falls. Get more information here.
