Ben Franklin Community Garden's Spring Fling Helps Pay for Its Operations

Sat 4/18 @ 6-10PM

Ben Franklin Community Garden in Old Brooklyn is Cleveland’s oldest and largest community garden, with a sprawling array of plots growing flowers, vegetables and herbs, as well as an outdoor stage area where it presents a summer music series, fruit trees, berry bushes and bee hives. And each year it donates produce to local food pantries.

While there is a fee for a gardener to get a plot each season, those fees don’t cover all the services provided (tilling, free plants and seeds, water, equipment, soil amendment and more). So once again, they’re holding their Ben Franklin Community Garden Spring Fling at Sachsenheim Hall. The $40 ticket includes dinner, German beer, wine, door prizes and 50/50 and basket raffles.
