The Music Box Supper Club’s Wednesday evening Cleveland Storytellers series starts up again this week. The storyteller is longtime area writer Pete Charkerian whose topic is “Pop Goes Cleveland.”

It will encompass Cleveland pop culture icons including Superman and Forrest Gump, Dorothy Dandridge and Gary Dee. Chakerian will talk about the movie stars, media personalities, and well-known musicians and artists who have helped to define popular culture.

The event is free, but you can also come early for dinner (doors open at 5) and if you like, order the week’s $20 prix fixe dinner, themed to the evening’s topic. This week it will include popcorn bisque, Dr. Pepper braised pork roast and Orange Crush float.
