Guitarist, vocalist and prolific songwriter Ray Flanagan is one of those “everywhere” musicians, who performs in so many contexts, so many locations and with so many other musicians that you never know where he’ll turn up. He could do a solo show, lead a band or crop up as a sideman in someone else’s project. As his bio accurately states, “Flanagan has performed with nearly everybody in the Northeast Ohio music scene.”
This week he’ll pop up at Dunlap’s Corner Bar to celebrate the release of his first-ever full-length vinyl album My Mind Is Burning Up, pressed right here in Cleveland by Gotta Groove Records. Backing him up will be drummer Joe Tomino, guitarist Anthony Papeleo and vocalist/guitarist Josee McGee (who will also provide an opening set.)
