It’s time to get gloomy again, but in a celebratory way: one of the most influential bands on 80s and 90s dark music, Joy Division, was just announced as a 2026 Rock Hall inductee.

So the monthly Dark Wave Dance Cave dance party at the Winchester can honor the validation of their entire genre, as they host a special edition called DIE INDUSTRIE, which focuses on one of dark music’s premiere genres, industrial music (yes, Joy Division was a big influence on that too.) Hosts/DJs Mimi Dromette and Matthew Darkstar will roll out an entire evening of industrial and related genres such as EMB, futurepop and hard dark wave dance tracks.
