Are you intrigued by unusual old books and memorabilia with evocative stories behind them? If so, you’ll want to head down to Akron for the 40th annual Akron Book & Paper show, hosted by the Northern Ohio Bibliophilic Society.
More than two dozen vendors from six states will be selling their one-of-a kind wares at the John S. Knight Center, among them books including first editions, regional books, illustrated books, photography, fantasy and sci-fi, and ephemera such as antique maps, flyers, theater programs and more. Perhaps you’ll find something that evokes a childhood memory or something that reminds you of your grandparents. Go here for a list of vendors.
The preview evening takes place Friday, April 3, and each ticket includes two drinks, appetizers and music by the Cle-Oh Jazz Trio, as well as first look at the vendor books. The main show takes place on Saturday.
