Ohio: Wild at Heart is an IMAX/giant screen movie created by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources to showcase the natural landscape of Ohio, the plants and animals that inhabit it and efforts to protect it for the enjoyment of all people.
It features stories such as the reintroduction of bald eagles and trumpeter swans to the state, the clean-up of polluted rivers, and conservation efforts by the ODNR scientists. The footage of the soaring cliffs at Hocking Hills, the glacial grooves on Kelleys Island, the fireflies of the Edge of Appalachia Preserve System and Lake Erie’s shores may give you some ideas of where to take an in-state vacation. The 45-minute film, which began production in summer 2024, is narrated by former football player Archie Griffin.
The film is touring various venues around the state. It will land at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History on Saturday November 15 and Sunday November 16, where it will have multiple screenings most days through January 18, 2026. On premiere weekend only, the film will be included with general admission.
