Summer is coming to an end, alas, and so are the Music Box Supper Club’s quintessential summer events, its reggae Sundays. Inside some of the region’s top reggae bands play that ultimate summer soundtrack — the sunny, languid sound of Jamaica. With the big doors to the boardwalk open, people can sit by the river in the crosscurrent of the music wafting outside and the breezes floating off the water. Jamaican food is on the menu and the bar is serving tiki drink specials, to complete the vibe.
Each year, the series begins and ends with one of the area’s most prominent reggae ensembles Carlos Jones & the P.L.U.S. (Peace Love Unity Syndicate) Band, known for bringing their own positive vibrations.
