Fri 7/25 @ 2-11PM
Typically Greyt Culture’s Golden Hour/Tech Talk evenings take place on the rooftop of a building in or around downtown Cleveland. This month’s event is a little different. It’s down on the ground, at North Coast Harbor where you can still get a good view of the sunset, just not an aerial one.
Another difference is that this event’s Tech Talk(s) are an all-afternoon event featuring six live audience podcast recordings instead of a single talk. Doors open at 2pm, and the first of the series of talks starts at 2:45 with “AI & Spirituality.” “Cleveland’s Clean Water’ is the topic of the second at 3:30, followed by “A Home for Rock & Roll (Rock Hall) at 3:45, and “New Rules for investing” at 4:30.”Build Capacity for Space Exploration” follows at 5pm and things wrap up at 5:30 with “Music Discovery in The Age of The Algorithm (Rock Hall).”
Food and drink service starts at 5pm, with music at 6. Opening that segment of the evening is Cleveland-based Brazilian guitarist/vocalist Moises Borges with his Brazilian jazz band. The “Sunset Feature” at 7:30 is Gumbo Dance Party, which mixes Afrobeat, Amapiano, R&B, hip hop, dancehall and house music into a danceable blend. Finally at 9:30pm, the Twilight DJ set with Nic Nacc and DJ Eso will keep the dance floor filled until closing time.
