It’s time again for 78th Street Studios’ Third Friday when there’s always something new to see and experience.
There’s a major new show called Reconnections, featuring work by textile artist Jessica Pinsky and Will Grimm opening at HEDGE Gallery. (Remember HEDGE closes an hour before the rest of the building so start there.) Also opening at Gallery 215 is Ron Sims II’s Altars x Amplifiers, inspired by people who influenced his worldview, including portraits and works inspired by graffiti. Stop in Kenneth Paul Lesko Gallery to see a group show of works on paper, or at E11even2 Gallery to see how 20 artists interpret their favorite bedtime stories. And Gallery 202 will be opening a set of narrative paintings and collages by Jimmie Woody.
As always Northcoast Promotions will have its artisan vendors in the big event spaces, and there will be performers throughout the building, including violinist Megan Sullivan, instrumental guitarist/keyboard player Edward Aquino, and Sergio Magic.
Third Friday is free and open to all, even well-behaved pets.
