CMA Mix Party Is All About Women and Disco

Fri 3/7 @ 6-10PM

The Cleveland Museum of Art’s first Friday MIX parties are one of its most popular events — be warned if you are taking MLK Blvd through Rockefeller Park that traffic will be backed up by the museum. Zeven though it’s spacious, the Ames Family Atrium is packed with partygoers and dancers.

And with this month’s theme being “Dancing Queen,” a tribute to women disco artists, the congestion on the dance floor should be intense, as DJ Hodgepodge Lodge (Natalie Ann) and DJ Guilty Pleasures (Rachel Hunt) spin vinyl classic disco hits as well as more obscure tracks that were once spun at some long-forgotten dance club.

As usual, there will be themed drinks and eats available for purchase, and the galleries will be open for browsing, including its current special show Picasso and Paper, which will be free to those with MIX tickets. It’s an adult party, strictly 21 and over.
