CBG launches Frost, Greyt Big Talk offers its mic to CPH artistic director Michael Barakiva, PechaKucha returns with short talks on the arts, health and civic leadership, and local authors are publishing and writing about TCO, the victims of the Salem Witch Trials, and finding light in the darkness.

It’s been forty years now that Cleveland’s Blue Lunch has been playing its lively, horn-driven music at events all over the region, from concerts to swing dances to festivals. The ensemble has cycled through many members in that time, and combines veterans such as bassist Ray DeForest with newcomers such as vocalist Maya Nicholson and recent Florida transplant guitarist/vocalist Billy Seward. They often liven up their shows with guest performers from other cities as well.
They’ll be doing that when they host an anniversary celebration at the BOP STOP on Saturday November 23. Columbus guitarist/vocalist Sean Carney and Akron-based Hammond organ player Tim Longfellow will be joining them to make their already big sound even more expansive. Bring your dancing shoes!
