Drag and Burlesque Artists Celebrate Chappell Road at No Class

Thu 9/26 @ 9PM

A year ago, very few people had heard of Chappell Roan who had been kicking around the minor leagues of the music business without success for years. And when her album The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess was released almost exactly a year ago, it seemed at first as if it would be just more of the same. But by early 2024 it was starting to pick up momentum and by early summer when she went on tour, it was a huge hit, necessitating many of her originally scheduled venues to be upgraded. (In Cleveland, the show was moved from the Agora to Jacobs Pavilion.) With her colorful image and her self-professed lesbianism. she’s become a hero in the LGBTQ+ community.

So it’s no surprise that a group of local performers are putting on “The Rise and Fall of Midwest Drag Show,” taking place at No Class. With drag vocalist Monica Mod hosting, it will feature an array of local drag and burlesque performers including Thee Deja Show, Mikayla Moon, Pineapple Honeydew, Rose Faluda, Sappho Le Fae, The Girl Named Jack and Twisted Transitioner. Performances will cover the whole album People are invited to come dressed in their favorite Chappell Roan look.

Admission is $10 at the door.
